tecovas review - women's suede booties

Are Tecovas Worth the Price?

When you’re born and raised in Texas, boots are just a no-brainer. Sure, Texans aren’t the only ones who rock this iconic footwear, but we can definitely claim that one of the best boot brands hails from right here in Texas. We produce a lot of things people love to emulate, like Matthew McConaughey, Beyoncé, Whataburger, and of course, Tecovas. Other brands might try to copy the popular name, but they do not come close. Here is why.

Tecovas are built to last. Sure, you might be tempted to grab some random boots off Amazon, but do you really want boots that show scuffs after just a few wears? Or suede boots that look filthy after a year? No way. It has been over five years, and my suede Tecovas still look great. They have survived 6th, football games, and plenty more.

What really sets Tecovas apart is the craftsmanship and comfort. From the first wear, they feel broken in, not stiff or awkward like cheaper alternatives. The leather molds to your foot over time, making them more comfortable the longer you own them. On top of that, they are versatile. You can wear them with jeans to a game, dress them up for an event, or throw them on for a casual night out. They are an investment, but one that actually pays off. Instead of replacing boots every year, you get a pair that holds up, looks better with age, and represents Texas pride every step of the way.

Why They’re Worth the Price Tag

Tecovas are absolutely worth the price tag—especially if you’re going with suede. Their women’s booties are made from split bovine or goat hide, both of which are high-quality materials that hold up well over time. Like I mentioned earlier, my pair doesn’t have a single scuff—and that’s after years of wear. Cheap suede? It scuffs easily, and trust me, I’ve learned the hard way.

I once ordered a pair of cheap boots from Amazon, in my defense, it was for a costume, and they looked worn out after just a couple of wears. The soles felt flimsy, the leather creased in all the wrong places, and they never quite fit right. Not exactly what you want for tailgates, barn weddings, or special events where you are on your feet for hours. In Texas, we know the value of saving a good pair of boots for meaningful occasions, yes, even weddings and funerals. Boots are not just footwear here; they are part of the outfit and part of the culture. A solid pair says you care about how you show up, whether it is to celebrate or to pay your respects.

I can vouch for the boots, but I have not tried their apparel or accessories yet. That said, if the quality matches what they put into their footwear, I have high expectations. I am hoping to swing by a store soon to check those out in person, because some things are worth seeing and feeling for yourself before buying.
