Supergoop Glow Body Oil SPF 50 Review: Lightweight Sunscreen for Everyday Glow

Finally, a sunscreen I can wear every day without a white cast. This body oil from Supergoop! is truly amazing. I bought it because I wanted an everyday sunscreen I could easily apply to my body when wearing shorts or a dress, and it’s quickly become a staple in my routine.

The glow it gives is subtle and natural—it doesn’t look greasy or like baby oil at all. Instead, it makes my skin look hydrated and healthy, almost like I just applied a really good moisturizer. It adds a light sheen without making me look overly shiny, which I really appreciate for everyday wear. The formula is also very lightweight, so it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on the skin.

If you’re someone who has mostly focused on skincare for your face and hasn’t paid as much attention to the rest of your skin, this is a great product to start using daily. It’s an easy way to protect areas like your arms, legs, and chest while also giving your skin a nice, polished look.

It’s SPF 50, which makes me feel much more confident about being outside in the sun while wearing it. It’s also water-resistant, which is a huge plus. I love that I can use it on lake days or outdoor activities and feel protected without having to rely on thick, heavy sunblock.

While it doesn’t have the same shimmery glow as Vacation Whip, I’d say this option is better if you prefer something more natural-looking. If you’re not into a glittery finish but still want your skin to look smooth, hydrated, and protected, this sunscreen is a fantastic everyday choice.

Does Supergoop Glow Oil Feel Greasy?

Nope! It feels very light on the skin. Even when I layered it over my regular body lotion, my skin didn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. The formula absorbs nicely and leaves behind a soft, natural-looking sheen rather than that thick, oily feeling some body oils can have. I never felt like my skin was coated in a layer of product, which is something I really appreciate in a daily sunscreen. Instead, it felt comfortable, breathable, and moisturizing. If you’re worried about feeling sticky or overly shiny, this formula does a great job of keeping things lightweight and wearable.

Does Supergoop Glow Oil Stain Swimsuits?

I haven’t worn it with a swimsuit yet, but I have worn it with regular clothes and haven’t noticed any stains so far. It seems to absorb well into the skin without transferring onto fabric, which is a big plus. So far, it’s been easy to wear throughout the day without worrying about ruining my clothes.

Many Supergoop formulas avoid reef-damaging filters like oxybenzone and octinoxate. However, environmental claims around “reef safe” sunscreens can be complicated, and regulations and definitions vary.
